She said 'please go to the back of the line'. I gave her my last name and told her how she promised to text us. At 5:30 I brazenly walked up to the first girl we spoke to (the one that took our reservation and stated that we would get a text).
At 4:45 I noticed in the main lobby that people just arriving were being given rooms !!! My feeling was that we were being penalized for getting there early and others just arriving were getting there rooms. We got in line and 20 min later we were told that our room was not ready. At 4pm we noticed a very long line at the 'elevator desk'. I was happy, bags checked, room reserved, cell phone check-in.off to the slots we went. She laughed and said today there would be someone there. I joked that I have never ever seen anyone manning that desk. Then we would need to go to the reception desk by the elevator.
The reception girl was pleasant and said that even though the room was not ready, they would take our cell number and text us when it was. OK OK.we knew that official check-in time was after 4pm but there was no line and we wanted to check our bags. We have always been treated well until our last stay (by the way.this was not a free was on 'our dime'). We have stayed at the Fox Tower many times.
